Inspiring Women of Vacaville
5 Years of Highlighting Women in Our Community
2026 Nomination Process to be Announced Soon!
VPF is excited to announce the sixth annual Inspiring Women of Vacaville Campaign. For the past 5 years, VPF has highlighted (via Facebook) the contributions of women in Vacaville whose work often goes unnoticed and aren’t typically recognized for their service to this community during the month of March. We accept nominations in late January through February so that women can be highlighted during the month of March on our FB page.
VPF started this as a passion project because we saw all the women in our community(ies) giving so much without seeking or receiving recognition but TRULY out of the goodness of their hearts all the while making Vacaville a better place to live. And we also recognize the historical significance and impact when women’s contributions go unrecognized, left out of history books in our society and we unwrite that history a bit for Vacaville with this project by sharing all of HERstories right here in our town. VPF honors, recognizes and is helping to document the stories of these women and the emotional and physical labor it takes to give back to the community. Every month is Women’s History month!
In 2025, VPF hosted the first in-person Inspiring Women’s Celebration to bring together the women we’ve honored from 2021 to 2025. The celebration and brunch was one for the books and we hope to plan one again in the future to continue to bring these amazing women together.
